Hello I'm Neesham 👋🏼
I am an A-level student passionate about creating engaging and accessible experiences.

The Problem
People do not get enough high quality sleep
The solution
An app that provides relaxation for users
Breathing Control:
-
Manipulating breathing patterns can have a calming effect.

Exercise/ Yoga:
-
When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins that help reduce negative feelings.
-
increases core body temperature, which helps you fall asleep

Immersive Library:
-
These immersive sounds help reduce distractions and anxiety.
Research
According to the NHS the way to fall asleep faster and sleep better is...
1. Have a good sleep routine (Sleep Hygiene)
2. Relax, unwind and try sleep meditation
3. Improve sleep through exercise
Major Insights
Theme 1: Regularity
Users are most likely to get high quality sleep when they are reminded of what time to start sleeping.
Theme 2: Comfort
Users achieve more and higher quality of sleep when they are able to put their mind at ease.
Theme 3: Improved Lifestyle
Users achieve more and higher quality of sleep when they live a better lifestyle.
Insights
From my and other users experience they are sleep deprived due to their mind being in a state of unease. By focusing on comfort I'm able to bring other features to my solutions e.g. An attribute that will improve users lifestyle

How Might We...
Enable our users minds to be at ease
I tried to achieve this by creating immersive experiences

Initial Ideas + Improvements
Initially I wanted my colour scheme to be a light pink and yellow- as you will see below. However, after experimenting and research violet or something with a blue undertone would have a more calming effect.

Challenges
-
As it was my first Ux Design project it was very difficult .e.g. How I should structure the UI . However, it was very fun and I was very driven due to my initial passion for Art and Design.
-
This was during my school holidays so I had to organise so I would finish this project before school started
What I learnt
-
I learnt how to use tools
-
Simplicity and understanding the user is essential
-
When research is done well, you generate better ideas + solutions
